Description:

|
Geological map of northwest Arabia and Negd. Shows the journies of Charles M. Doughty (1843-1926), one of the most respected British Arabists. Details Medina and Mecca.
This map was originally presented by Doughty to the Royal Geographical Society in 1883, but was considered so accurate and reliable that it continued to be used for decades after, including by the British forces in Arabia during the First and Second World Wars.
