Stunning two-sheet map of the Mediterranean engraved and decorated with Vincenzo Coronelli's characteristic Baroque flamboyance. A magnificent title cartouche hangs across the upper-left corner like a stage curtain. Another cartouche in the lower-left shows an eagle, a lion, and an elephant holding aloft a banner with Coronelli’s imprint and that of his business partner in Paris, J.B. Nolin.
