Plan of the Siege of Havana during the Seven Years' War based on the account of an officer present at the battle. The positions of the British sieging armies are drawn, as are the positions of the Spanish and English fleets. The siege began in June and the city surrendered on August 13th, a remarkably short siege and a major victory for the British. Spanish activities in the Americas were severly crippled by the loss of Havana. [WIND4014] |
