Cheesman was the first European to map the coast between Uqayr and the Gulf of Salwah, This map tracks his epic journey from the modern port of Uqair, through the Hasa Oasis to his destination at the Jabrin Oasis. It shows various caravan routes, the travels of several other explorers including Leachman and Philby, bears panels of geographical descriptions and mentions several tribal names such as the al Murra tribe near his destination at the Jabrin Oasis.
