The island of Belle Île off the coast of Brittany. This map was published in the same year that the island was captured by the British during the Seven Years' War. It was held for two years and then swapped for Menorca in the Treaty of Paris. Drawn and engraved by Thomas Kitchen for the London Magazine, Britain's second-oldest literary periodical.
