Description:
|
|
This map shows the Territory of Arizona less than 30 years after the region was ceded to the United States by Mexico. The routes of the Texas-Pacific Railroad and the Atlantic & Pacific Railroad are marked, as are stagecoach roads and Indian Reservations. Some parcels of land have been surveyed around the larger settlements of Tucson, Prescott, and Phoenix, but otherwise the region is still largely uncharted.
