Description:
|
|
The first printed map of the town of Sydney, drawn just 7 months after the foundation of the colony in January, 1788. All of the buildings, both constructed and planned, are marked on the map and labeled according to an index below the map. Drawn by William Dawes with the soundings in Sydney Cove provided by Captain Hunter. A fine example of this rare and important map!
