This handsome sea chart of the Atlantic Ocean shows the usual sailing routes from England, Ireland, and Spain to Boston, New York, Charleston, Panama, and the Caribbean. Based on a French chart of the Atlantic by the Comte de Maurepas from 1738, but with updates to the coast of New England, North Carolina, and the Antilles. Bowles names his sources in the lower-right corner.
