The northern-most section of the Coromandel Coast in northeast India, now part of the states of Orisha and West Bengal. This area was an important battleground between the French and the English during the Seven Years' War. Drawn and engraved by Thomas Kitchen for the London Magazine, England's first literary periodical (first published in 1732).
