Interesting early nineteenth century map of Canada newly divided into its administration districts of Upper and Lower Canada, the Maritimes and New Brunswick.
Of particular note is the colour division between the Upper and Lower districts of the country and the demarcation in the north of Rupert's Land, the vast region under the administration of the Hudson's Bay Company. This is marked in yellow. Original hand colour. [CAN2996] |
