Charming pictorial map postcard of Tuscany. Reduced from the larger 1939 'Artistic Edition' of Giovanni De Agostini's 'Imago Italiae', which containing 19 pictorial maps of the provinces of Italy.
To produce this series of maps for "Imago Italiae", De Agostini collaborated with Vsevolod Petrovic Nicouline, a Russian illustrator, painter and ceramicist. Nicouline fled the Bolshevik Revolution to Istanbul where he met his wife. They both ended up in Genoa, Italy and finally settled in Nervi, where he opened a studio and became a well-regarded artist.
