Description:

Intricate and finely-engraved map of the historical duchies of Brandenburg and Pomerania, now the border between Germany and Poland. The map includes parts of the modern German states of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Brandenburg, and Saxony-Anhalt, as well as part of the Polish voivodship of West Pomerania.
The map is embellished with two large cartouches. The upper cartouche contains the map's title and is held aloft by fluffy clouds while putti bear the coats of arms of the two duchies. The lower cartouche represents the fertility, wealth, and industriousness of the region with depictions of beehives, wheat, and a putto holding surveying equipment.
