Fine map of the West Indies by "The Father of French Cartography", Nicolas Sanson (1600-1667), centring on Cuba, Haiti and the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, the map also maps the coastlines of southern Florida, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica, and parts of Colombia and Venezuela.
Amongst the prominent cities detailed on the map are Cartagena (Colombia), Havana (Mexico) and Santa Domingo (Dominican Republic).
